LIBRARY RULES The library remains open on all working days from 09:30am to 06:30pm. The issue counter opens at 09:45am and closes at 04:30pm. The students shall maintain proper decorum and silence inside the library and its vicinity. Violating this will attract a penalty of Rs. 50 will be charged as a fine and library membership will be cancelled. Make it sure that you have an identity card/ library card while entering the library. To get enrolled as a library member, student shall fill up and sign the enrolment form. The students are authorized to borrow three books from the library at a time for 15 days including the day of issue. The books borrowed must be returned or renewed on the due date. Otherwise an overdue fine of R. 1 per volume per day will be charged. Generally, the books in demand will not be reissued. Reference copies will not be issued to anyone. Such reference books shall be referred only in the library. The students must satisfy themselves about the physical condition of the book before borrowing. Otherwise, he/ she shall be held responsible for damaging the books or tearing away pages, disfiguring or scribbling on books and may be required to replace the book or pay double its price as per rules. No personal belongings are allowed inside the library like bags, purse, helmet and personal book. The same may be kept at the property counter near the library entrance at their own risk. In case any library book is lost, the borrower shall make a written report to the librarian immediately, otherwise overdue penalty will be levied. The borrower shall be required to replace the edition of the lost book or double the price of the same will be charged from him/ her. Any book issued to a member may be recalled in case it is urgently demanded / required. Students are not allowed to use library card of any other student. Periodicals, newspapers, dictionaries, magazines and special reference books shall not be issued to any member for reading; all these will be available for study in library only. TRANSPORTATION RULES The student has to pay transport facility charges once in 6 months or once in a year. In case student wishes to withdraw the transport facility in between 6 months no refund of fee will be done. Transport facility is available on existing routes only. Those who wish to avail the transport facility should fill the application form for transport facility at the time of admission and get the bus pass issued. The student using transport has to carry his/ her college bus pass which can be checked any time without any notice. During checking if any student is caught without pass or is found travelling in college bus without depositing the fee and / or opting the bus facility, he/ she shall be levied with fine as per rules and regulations. If any student opts to avail the transport facility in between 6 months, he/ she will have to pay full fee for 6 months. Students availing the transport facility shall not damage or cause harm to college vehicle/ buses in any manner. Students shall maintain the proper decorum while on the bus route and shall not make any nuisance. Misbehavior shall attract suitable penalty and/ or fine as deemed fit by the competent authorities. Apart from these, local conveyance from and to the nearest bus stop is available at specific timings free of cost for the students staying in hostels. However, if a student / parents require such transport facility any time other than these timings, it can be availed on payable basis which will be at par with the prevailing taxi fares.
