Any student getting into Shiva Ayurvedic Medical College must keep in mind the fact that he/ she is a prospective doctor who is going to keep the person, the community and in turn the nation healthy with his / her service.
One must understand that the code of conduct in Shiva Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital is designed keeping the students’ bright and successful career in mind and following them will be good for none other than students’ benefit.
DRESS CODE
The students should dress according to the dignity of medical profession. Casual, shabby, indecent and improper dressing will not be tolerated in the College. Most suitable attire for boys would be formal wear and for girls, salwar suit and long tops.
Wearing clean and crisp apron bearing the logo of the institution is mandatory.
RAGGING
Every student of the College is informed that under the order of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India vide judgments / orders dated 04th March 2001, May 2007 and February 2009 are to be followed in Toto. Under the ordinance of Himachal Pradesh Government and the rules framed by the University there under vide ordinance 22.17 ragging is completely prohibited in educational institutions in State.
All the admitted students will give an undertaking on an affidavit (Appendix-A-10) that they will not indulge in any act of ragging of juniors, directly or indirectly causing physical or mental distress or damage to any student during their entire stay in this College.
Student found to be involved in ragging shall have an entry in his / her credentials that said student was found to be involved in act of ragging and was punished for ragging.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE
Any student found indulging in or encouraging or being a mute witness to any kind of substance abuse in the College, Hospital or Hostel premises will be dealt with very strictly.
MOBILE PHONES
Using mobile phones and other electronic devices inside the College and Hospital premises is strictly prohibited. Any student found having / using such prohibited items will be fined up to Rs. 5000/- and the devices get confiscated & returned only after completion of the course. This rule also applies to all Bluetooth connected or wi-fi connected electronic devices such as smart watches, tablets, smart bands, etc.
ATTENDANCE
All students must attend classes regularly. Shortage of attendance
(anything less than 75%) will attract fine and disciplinary action including not allowing such students of write examination.
COLLEGE FEES
The stipulated fees and other dues have to be cleared promptly by all the students.
Every year, November 15th is the last date to remit tuition fees without fine. Thereafter, a penalty of Rs. 100 per day will be levied.
TESTS AND EXAMINATIONS
For effective and prompt evaluation of student’s progress, the institute conducts two term examinations and a Preparatory examination through Examination Control Division of the institution.
